Testimonials

Monique Bassila Zaarour (2022 Thru-Hiker and current ambassador for Quebec - Canada)

"Every Lebanese should hike the Lebanon Mountain Trail, at least once in her/his lifetime. What you experience on these mountains is something very unique to Lebanon."

Nadine Weber (2022 Thru-Hiker & Former President of the LMTA)

"It's a very simple equation. We wake up, we have breakfast, we hike for about 7 to 10 hours, we arrive to the guesthouse in the other village, we have dinner and we sleep. An then the next day, we repeat. So it's really a very simple equation but what we go through during the journey is pretty different."

Tala Farran (2022 Thru-Hiker)

"It's really sad to say, but when i finished the hike, the only thing I remember is the last step when I saw people waiting and I just wanted to do a U-turn and get back. As much as i love my life and my family, I just was so scared to finish this hike that I was on."

Said Hamad Malaeb (2022 Thru-Hiker)

"It is a unique experience. Lebanon is such a beautiful country and I urge everyone to hike the LMT. What I just experienced has probably given me 20 extra years of life. I am so proud of the result I've accomplished."

Kevin Boueiri (2018 Thru-Hiker)

"We know what Lebanon looks like on a map, but it's very different when you actually walk it from one step to the next. You start connecting memories from one place to the next. And so now when I'm on the coast and I look up to the Shouf or some other section of mountains, I have memories that connect me to those places, friendships that I've formed on the trail that connect me to those places."
